Six practices,
one team.
Senior practitioners across fractional CFO, M&A advisory, tax, operational finance, diligence, and advisory — delivered as a single integrated team rather than a collection of specialists.
Fractional CFO & FP&A
Part-time CFO leadership for companies that aren't ready for a full-time hire. We embed alongside your existing finance team (or build one from scratch), take ownership of the close, the model, and the board pack, and serve as the senior voice in the room for every financial decision that follows.
Engagements typically run 6–18 months, with a transition to a quarterly advisor role once the company is ready for a full-time CFO.
- Three-statement model and 13-week cash forecast
- Monthly close acceleration and owner-assigned close calendar
- Board-ready KPI dashboard and monthly board pack
- Revenue recognition design and audit-defensible accounting
- Cohort, NRR, and unit economics analysis
- Capital strategy, runway sensitivity, and fundraise support
- Quarterly advisor engagement post-hire
M&A & Transaction Advisory
Buy-side and sell-side advisory, quality of earnings, valuation, working capital sizing, and integration planning. We work on the financial workstreams that make a deal close, and we keep working through the first 100 days post-close when the integration is where the value is created (or lost).
- Buy-side and sell-side advisory
- Quality of Earnings (QofE) and normalized EBITDA
- DCF, comparable, and precedent-transaction valuation
- Working capital target sizing and true-up
- Deal structuring, earn-out design, and SPA review support
- 100-day integration plan with named owners per workstream
- Post-close financial leadership for the first quarter
Tax Strategy & Compliance
Multi-jurisdictional tax structuring, R&D credits, entity design, and ongoing compliance — built around the actual operating model rather than a generic checklist. We work with your auditors and local counsel to keep the structure defensible as the company grows.
- Entity design and corporate restructuring
- Multi-state and international tax planning
- R&D tax credit studies and documentation
- IP holding structures and transfer pricing
- Equity compensation planning (ISO/NSO, 83(b), QSBS)
- Tax due diligence for M&A and fundraises
- Ongoing federal, state, and international compliance
Operational Finance
The boring-but-decisive work that makes the rest of finance possible. Close acceleration, COGS visibility, revenue recognition, KPI dashboards, and the operational rewiring that turns finance from a reporting function into a decision-making function.
- Close acceleration (typical: 21 days → 5 days)
- COGS design, cost-center redesign, and variance reporting
- Revenue recognition policy and audit prep
- AR / AP process redesign and working capital optimization
- 13-week cash forecasting and treasury operations
- Headcount, vendor, and capex planning
- ERP / accounting system selection and implementation
Due Diligence Support
Financial diligence prep for fundraising or M&A. Data room assembly, model polish, and the unglamorous work of making sure nothing surprises the investors you actually want — delivered by senior practitioners who have sat on both sides of the table.
- Data room architecture and document inventory
- Management presentation prep and dry-runs
- Quality of Earnings (buy-side or sell-side)
- Customer cohort, NRR, and pipeline analytics
- Model audit — formulas, assumptions, integrity
- Diligence call defense and Q&A tracking
- Working capital target sizing
Advisory & Board Support
Independent advisor to founders, boards, and investors. Quarterly reviews, capital strategy, and a senior set of eyes on the financial decisions that don't have a clear right answer — delivered as a part-time, long-term relationship rather than a one-off project.
- Quarterly financial review and board prep
- Capital strategy and runway planning
- Independent view on offers, terms, and structures
- Mentorship of the full-time CFO or controller
- Audit committee and investor reporting
- Pre-deal sanity check on M&A and fundraising
- Crisis-mode working sessions on demand
How we price the work.
Two engagement shapes, both on fixed scope and fixed fee. You know the price before we start.
Fractional retainer
A monthly retainer for ongoing senior finance leadership. 1–3 days per week of practitioner time, with a named partner as your day-to-day point of contact. Cancel any time after the first three months.
Project-based
A fixed scope, fixed fee project for a defined deliverable. QofE for an acquisition, a board pack for a raise, a tax restructuring, a close acceleration. Fixed price, named deliverables, defined timeline.
Not sure which engagement fits?
A 30-minute call is usually enough to figure out the right shape. We'll tell you which one is right, and we'll tell you honestly when neither is.
