ACME Consulting is a virtual business accounting firm. We help growth-stage companies with the financial decisions that determine what kind of company they become.
Why a partnership model
Most accounting firms make money by selling junior time. The result is predictable: a polished first meeting, a smart-sounding proposal, and an engagement staffed by the most affordable person available. The work is fine, but it is rarely as good as the people who sold it.
We chose the opposite. ACME is built as a partnership of senior practitioners, each of whom owns their client relationships end-to-end. When you hire us, you hire the person you met on the call. There is no handoff to a junior, no surprise on the invoice, and no learning curve on your business after week three.
What we believe
- Finance is a craft. The deliverable is a model that holds up under stress, a close that closes on time, and advice that is honest even when it is uncomfortable.
- Senior time is a feature, not an inefficiency. The best financial work is done by people who have seen your situation before — and you can tell the difference within the first month.
- You should own everything we build. Every model, every memo, every dashboard. The work is built to outlive the engagement, not to lock you into a retainer.
- The right answer is sometimes "this isn't what you should do." We will tell you that, and we will help you find someone better suited if that is the case.
Where we work
ACME is fully virtual. Our practitioners are based in San Francisco, Brooklyn, Austin, Toronto, and Lisbon, and we serve clients across North America, the UK, and continental Europe. Most of our work happens in shared Notion, Google Workspace, and Quickbooks environments, with weekly video calls and quarterly on-site sessions when it matters.

Fixed scope, fixed fee
Where possible, we work on fixed scope with a fixed fee. You know what the work is, what it costs, and what the deliverable looks like — before we start.
You own it
Every model, dashboard, and memo is built to outlive the engagement, with documentation your team can run with. We measure success when the company no longer needs us for that work.
Honest advice
We will tell you when the right answer is "this isn't what you should do." We will help you find someone better suited if that is the case.
